Chris Quilty is one of the most recognized and influential analysts in the global space sector. He began covering the industry more than two decades ago as a sell-side analyst at Raymond James, where he initiated formal Wall Street coverage of the commercial space market in the mid-2000s. During his tenure, he was twice recognized by The Wall Street Journal as a “Best on the Street” analyst and became a trusted authority and frequent media commentator on the evolving space economy. Over the course of his career, Chris has published thousands of company-specific, macro, sector, and thematic research reports spanning the full space value chain. In 2016, he founded Quilty Space (formerly Quilty Analytics), establishing a cross-industry research platform focused exclusively on space. His work integrates applications, technologies, regulatory dynamics, capital formation, and competitive strategy across manufacturing, launch, satcom, Earth observation, hardware, and downstream analytics. Chris serves as a strategic advisor and consultant to investors, prime contractors, satellite operators, technology companies, and government stakeholders worldwide. He holds a B.S. in Systems Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and an MBA from The University of Chicago.
