Jan Smolders holds a degree in Aerospace Engineering from Delft University of Technology and an MBA from Vlerick Business School. He brings more than 15 years of international experience in sales and business development, working with both small and large companies delivering high-tech engineering software, hardware, and services to customers worldwide. Throughout his career, Jan has built and led international sales ecosystems combining direct sales teams and channel partners across multiple regions and industries. He also served in Singapore as Director Business Development for Southeast Asia, where he expanded business activities across the region. Before joining Space Inventor, Jan led commercial strategy and sales operations at VEOWARE SPACE, where he helped position the company globally as a trusted provider of spacecraft attitude control systems. Since mid-2024, Jan has served as Chief Commercial Officer at Space Inventor, where he is responsible for driving international growth in satellite platforms and subsystems, strengthening commercial capabilities, and expanding into new markets.
