Juliette Lambin is the head of Future Missions and Architecture Department in Earth Observation Programmes Directorate. She graduated from Ecole Polytechnique in 1997 and obtained a PhD of geophysics from Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris in 2001. From 2001 to 2005 she worked for Caltech Seismo Lab and JPL as a postdoctoral scholar in Geophysics. Going back to Europe she held various positions in CNES, in the technical or scientific aspects of EO mission development as well as in strategy and programs. In 2019/2020 she was an auditor in IHEDN (Institut des Hautes Etudes de la Defense Nationale) Defense Policy 72nd National Session. She has been the CNES EO programme manager – and French Delegate to ESA’s Programme Board for Earth Observation (PBEO) from 2017 to 2020, then she became PBEO Chair from 2020 to 2023. She joined ESA in April 2023.
