Lina Pohl is a Research Fellow and the Relations Officer for Germany & Austria at the European Space Policy Institute (ESPI), seconded by the German Space Agency at DLR since July 2021. Her field of expertise in space policy is space security and defence, including militarisation of space, spacefor security and defence, space and defence sector convergence trends in programmes, industry, and investments, as well as the impact of the war in Ukraine on the space sector. Prior to her position at ESPI, she held different positions at DLR in the Department for International Relations, worked in the finance sector, international relations in academia, and in the European office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation. She holds a Master’s degree in Political Sciences (MA) (2020) at the University of Cologne, focusing on international relations and security/defence policy, and published her Master thesis on Russia’s hybrid warfare in Ukraine.
