Romeo graduated in 2017 with an MSc in Aerospace Engineering from Politecnico di Torino, completing part of his studies at TU Delft and obtaining a double degree with Politecnico di Milano thanks to the Alta Scuola Politecnica honor program. In 2024 he obtained a PhD in Statistics (Analytics for Economics and Management) from the University of Brescia, with a focus on artificial intelligence and multi-criteria decision-making. He currently works at AIKO as Senior Product Manager for orbital_OLIVER, an onboard AI-driven autonomous planning and data processing solution. In this role, he also serves as Project Manager for multiple space programs, including the recently launched AIX — a testbed advancing the satellite-as-a-service paradigm. Prior to AIKO, he worked at Apogeo Space as Program Manager, overseeing the company’s satellite missions from design to operations (worth a venture capital investment of 5M€). At Apogeo Space he coordinated cross-functional engineering teams, and worked closely with institutional clients such as the European and Italian Space Agencies. He also led digital innovation initiatives, including the integration of process automation across the organization. Beyond his career in the aerospace sector, Romeo worked for a nearly two years as a consultant within the automotive sector across Switzerland and Belgium.
