D-Orbit is a market leader in space logistics and transportation services with a track record of space-proven technologies and missions. Founded in 2011, D-Orbit manufactures and operates ION Satellite Carrier, its proprietary OTV, which can transport satellites in orbit and release them into distinct slots, cutting launch-to-operation time by up to 85%, and constellation launch costs by up to 40%. ION is also able to host third-party payloads for in-orbit testing and to support edge computing and space cloud services.

In 2025 the Company announced a strategic business combination with the Planetek group, to integrate new capabilities in cloud-based space applications, AI-powered data processing in orbit, and near real-time data services.

With offices in Italy, Portugal, the UK, and an experienced US team focused on bus design, manufacturing, and commercialization, D-Orbit aims to become a global key player in the in-orbit servicing market.
