LARGE SPACE STRUCTURES GMBH

Large Space Structures GmbH (LSS), based in Garching near Munich, was founded in 2012 as a spin-off from the Technical University of Munich and has now developed into an established SME.

LSS supplies deployable antennas and multifunctional structures for space applications.

Minimal weight and low construction volume are success factors in space technology, where satellites are becoming smaller, flexible, and more intelligent.

Deployment systems enable the use of small and very small satellites for applications in telecommunications or Earth observation, or the use of very large antennas with diameters of up to more than twelve meters for maximum data transmission performance.

For this purpose, LSS develops technologies and products for operation in space. These technologies were previously only available in the US and are now available for numerous civil and military applications (e.g. SIGINT/ELINT) for German and European customers.

This sends a strong signal to European customers.

The competent team of engineers and specialists, as well as the use of exclusive property rights, secures LSS’s expertise and enables numerous future projects.

In view of the significant growth of the last two years, the company is aiming for a further increase in the number of employees and turnover.
